We had a great experience with Covert when purchasing our Colorado truck. Steve was amazing. I have 2 GM vehicles, one purchased from Covert and the other from another dealership, but Dawn and the rest of the service crew take excellent care of both of my GM vehicles as if they were purchased from their dealership just yesterday. They are very responsive and detailed about work that was done, needed, or required due to recalls. I feel like they value my time and yet always make certain that everything is done and that I am aware of what was done and any future scheduled maintenance. Great service with great customer service, which is getting difficult to find!

6 hours for an oil change with an appointment and to look at the backup camera with no contact. i had to drive to the dealership to ask about my truck. then was told i needed to replace the camera without knowing if it was bad. seems like they wanted to throw parts at it and sell me parts. this was the first time i have ever used your service department and it will be my last. the service advisor richie was rude and useless. i was looking at buying a new truck even though mine is only 18 months old but not sure i want to buy another chevrolet after dealing with your service department. i was never treated like that when i had my dodge. hands down worst experience ever.

I went in for warranty repair, was without a vehicle for over 3 weeks. I was very frustrated that it took so long. This was the second time for the same problem. The service writer was helpful, I understand it was out of his control

Great assist for Mat Dodson timely oil change and working with me on the problem of my 2022 Chevy Silverado. The problem of the engine burning oil.

I have religiously taken my 2018 Silverado 1500 to your service department since I purchased it in June of 2018, expecting genuine service and advisement of potential problems that may occur. I dropped my truck off on 9/8/25 to have a tune up, fuel system cleaned and upper and lower ball joints checked. This turned into a $10k plus repair bill some nine days later. I changed my oil with your service department on 1 July 2025 and according to the GM Multi-Point Vehicle Inspection Form, my vehicle was OK with no discrepancies. Even my brakes were at 10mm both front and rear, no hoses with signs of leaking or water pump “weeping”, motor mounts in catastrophic disrepair, no engine oil cooler lines leaking, rear brakes dangerously needing attention or anything else out of order. Now I checked my GM forms from prior visits over the last five years and found in fact that my rear brakes were as low as 4mm on 11Sept 2024 and front as low as 6mm on 16 Jan 2025 with no attention from your service department of repairs, but “gained” measurements up to 10mm just before my vehicle was deemed in catastrophic disrepair by Will in your service department. Also no mention of adding coolant or oil to my system over the last five years, an indicator of leaking hoses or lines, or contamination of the cooling system. He also mentioned that the CV joint boots were leaking, but didn’t repair them this time for some reason. Now instead of making a minor boot repair I may have to repair both CV axles at a later date. If in fact these repairs were genuinely needed your service department has seriously failed me in keeping it in good running order. These repairs should have been identified much earlier and thankfully I was not injured or worse due to this obvious lack of concern for my safety and my vehicle. Will did mention that the repairs carry a two year, unlimited mileage warranty on parts and labor that I can’t find in any form given to me. I am now contemplating using another dealership for future dealings with GM, and if so will let others I have recommended use your services, to keep their eyes open and double check each and every transaction. After all that they didn’t even bother to clean the vehicle. Pathetic follow up. Now I got an email from the dealership stating that there are more “catastrophic repairs” needed, instead of letting me know while they had the vehicle for two weeks to see what I wanted to do or how catastrophic these repairs were, just let me leave and not discuss the issues. No instead he tried to sell me tires. This review may be posted on other social media sites to warn of potential dangers in trusting your service department with their vehicles. The BBB will also receive my entire vehicle transactions with your business from 20 October 2020 to 1 October 2025, showing these disparities. I would have more but keep only five years worth, a practice I will change. Thank you for your time.

I was very unhappy with the length of time it took with an appointment. My appointment was for 10:30, I got there at 10:15. I checked in and waited till 11:45 and still was waiting. I went to find Cameron to see when my car would be ready. He informed me he would go check, meanwhile my car was sitting outside ready. He came back and said the mechanics were finishing up. Took another 5 minutes for him to bring me the paper work. I told him it sure took a long time and he replied that the time I had chosen was a busy time. Why do they make appointments at that time then? I wanted to use Coverts for service g but if it takes that long, not sure I will.

Because of my broken ankle I had not driven my car for 3 weeks so, of course, the battery was dead. Since I was unable to drive Covert picked up my car, replaced the battery, and then delivered it back to me. Words cannot express how grateful I am for this service.

My husband noticed that my Treverse 4,300 miles, was having a slight issue with pulling to the left and there some wind noise coming from the front passenger side window. The car was at the dealership for a total of 10 working days , total of 12 days to fix the problem. I was promised a phone call to give me an update within 20 minutes. I was not called back. Then when I was finally called back, the next day, Richie said they were still trying to figure out the check engine light. What???? That was never a problem or the reason for service. I was given a loaner after the first week, which I was very grateful for. I realize that they were busy, however, this was a scheduled appointment for the repairs that turned into 10 working days to repair. We have been customers for over 30 years and this was not what we were expecting.

You had my vehicle for 2 weeks to end up giving it back saying nothing was done to it. I had to constantly call and ask for updates. I was told a technician is looking at it as we speak then 2 days later was told nobody had looked at it yet. When I took it in the engine light was on and the machine told them right then what the code was. Yet nothing was done because they couldn't recreate the problem as my paper states.

I came in without an appointment to request a level 1 EV charger connector that was missing when I bought the car new from them. All the staff, including the sales general manager Jay Winetroub, were friendly and courteous. They immediately pointed out that the vehicle needed a software update to address a safety recall, which I was aware of. They completed the work while I waited. They did not have the part in stock, but they shipped it to me the following week.

Everything was done over the phone since we live a distance away. That definitely has its pros and cons.

After my service was completed, I drove home and realized that my electronic running boards were no longer working. I went to the shop where I purchased the running boards and they found the running board connection into the OBD2 harness was unplugged. I told them the vehicle had just been serviced and they thought that the service person must have unplugged the connection to run a diagnotic check as part of the maintenance and failed to plug it back in.

Service was completed promptly and with friendly customer service.

Rhett was the best. He searched 5 other dealers to find the vehicle I wanted. Gave me a fair trade in price and with discounts , I paid a fair price for my new truck. I recommend Covert Bastrop and Rhett, give you the best deal around.

We agreed to the price and terms and that was it unlike other dealerships where it feels like it is a several hour negotiating process. We agreed to a fair price and that was it. Covert is by far the best dealership i have dealt with in terms of buying a car and have earned a customer for life. You can really tell the difference of a family owned dealership versus one who has sold out to a big conglomerate that owns several dealerships and i hope this never changes with Covert Chevrolet. It is a small town dealership that still values customer service.

Took my 2021 GMC Sierra AT4 Diesel to Covert Bastrop due to a weak start. I didn’t have an appointment, but they had me in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Super easy process—they swapped out one of my batteries and got me back on the road quickly. The waiting area was spacious, plenty of room for my kids. They even had hot cocoa for me and the boys, which was a nice touch! My appointment was at 10:00am and I it took an hour. I don’t understand why I had an appointment if it was going to be an hour.

Oil and Filter change with Tire rotation. As usual, expert care on our 2011 Enclave. Will Nobles makes sure that we are always taken care of. I will not take my car or pick up to anyone else unless we are out of town.

Long time covert customer, I’ve bought three vehicles from here, my only complaint is the pricing for services, trying to save money and taking your truck here is not an option. Also I’ve had several issues with the quality of work, I just hope this time after paying for a $600 transmission service that my truck will be okay. I just wish the people that worked there acted like it was their own vehicle. Now I have had some good service from Will nobles and Kevin Hudspeth.

It would have been nice if I had been shown how to use all the functions on the screen. The salesman was very nice, but older drivers need to be shown how to operate ALL the functions. I will definitely use Covert the next time I need a new vehicle.

1) I made the service appointment (first service on my newly purchased 2025 Suburban) over the phone, and confirmed it. When I arrived, the Service Department had no record of my appointment -- so I was treated as a "walk-in" (ie, my car was fit into the schedule when an opening became available). Since I had driven almost an hour to get to the dealership, I elected to "wait in line", rather than re-schedule for another day. 2) I won't say that the Service Advisor was rude, but he was certainly brusque. I was treated as a somewhat inconvenient "walk-in" on a busy morning. 3) I told the service advisor that, in addition to the standard "first service appointment" stuff (oil change, tire rotation, 27-point checklist), that I was experiencing intermittent "black-outs" on my rear-view back-up camera. His response was, "We don't do that here. We only do quick, routine service. If you have a warranty issue, you need to schedule a specific service appointment to have your back-up camera checked." I had mentioned the issue when I called to book the service appointment. No one advised me that my service should be scheduled, instead, in the "big service department". Now I have to drive back (an hour each way) to have the camera checked. With my luck, it will just be a loose cable and get fixed in 5 minutes. 4) Setting my wait aside, the "first-appointment service" was completed relatively quickly. I was out in 90 minutes. The best aspect of this experience. 5) When my service was completed, my name was called; I was handed my keys and paperwork; and told my car was parked, "right out there". I walked to my car, only to find there were greasy handprints on my dove-gray driver's side arm rest. I had to clean that off when I got home. Given the "fast-food/in and out" vibe in that Service Department, I decided it wasn't worth walking back in, finding my Service Advisor and putting up with his attitude just to get my arm-rest cleaned off. 6) Normally, when I've had my cars serviced at a dealership, they give the car a quick wash once service is complete. Not required, but a nice touch. Not here. Not this time. A minor disappointment. I went to this particular dealership (even though it's an hour away) because it's where I bought the car, and they highly touted their "customer-friendly service". There are 5 other Chevy dealers who are much, much closer. If I'm going to be treated brusquely, I could have gone to any of them...and probably will in the future.

We received exceptional customer service. We were treated with kindness and respect from our salesman, John Cardone, our finance guru, Timothy Clark, and the service/make ready crew who made sure that all of the extras we requested were properly installed on our vehicle.

Your always made to feel like family! Sometimes things don't go as you planned, and sometimes you don't get your way . End the end you are always taken care of.

I also absolutely loved my sales man Jesus he was AWESOME he actually went over everything with me the day I picked up my car and told me if I had any questions or concerns to call him. When I purchased my vehicle, I was told by my sales person, Alex, and again by Russell at signing that my vehicle could be picked up at my home for service. That was not the case when it came time for my recent service. While my car was in the shop, I was notified it would not be ready when promised because they found it had a bad water pump. At that time I was told the vehicle would be delivered to my home. When it came time, there were no drivers available. I ended up having to make another trip out there on a Sunday to pick up my keys from the sales department. I am disappointed that I was promised Covert provided services that ended up being empty promises just to get the sale!

Dealt with service advisor Richie who was great open and honest communication. Issues were fixed and some additional services were done. Overall great experience. My only frustration is the length of time it’s takes to run diagnostics. After the diagnostic was run repairs went quickly

My transmission started "shuddering" and I called in asking about it. I made an appointment and was given a loaner once one was available. After the rebuilt transmission arrived a few weeks later, I was back in my truck in a few days. I bought this truck in Bastrop in 2021. I have bought several ( 5) vehicles out there. I used to SELL cars and truck and I go all the way to Bastrop to deal w/ these guys because they deal off the top of the deck. No games, just a good deal right off the bat. The warranty I bought with this truck covered the transmission w/ ZERO deductible. Buy the best warranty for as long as it'll go ( miles, time) You wont regret it.

Every time I've taken my truck to the service center... the lady who does the invoices is always in a bad mood... and the warranties don't cover everything they say they do... My caliper got damaged, and that damaged the rotor and a brake hose... and now it turns out that the extended insurance I paid for doesn't cover it... the one that's supposed to be bumper-to-bumper... Mr. David also told me to bring it in on Friday at 7 a.m.... and it turns out they couldn't do the job... because they didn't have the parts, and I had to lose two hours and half a day of work... for them to do nothing... and that's unfair... because now I have to go back on Tuesday and lose another half day of work to get it fixed... this service is terrible
